Revived Tashi Khangsar

One of the older, if not the oldest cement brick building in Tabo was renovated, expanded and revived.
Situated adjacent to the world famous Tabo Mud Monastery, buit in 996 A.D. Sorrounded by Apple orchards interplanted with Sweet peas n pulses.
Located on the bank of Spiti River fed by snow melt.

Tabo Gompa is a oldest active buddhist temple in the Himalayas next only to be Potala in Lhasa, Tibet.
Nine Temples are housed in the complex dedicated to various pantheons of Tibetian Buddhism.
The 1027 year old Mud Monastry complex is known for its priceless 550 year old Thangka wall paintings, statues, murals because of which it is also known as the Ajanta of the himalays.
